Our Photo Collapse through Kerala |
It was yet another holiday time
for us. We packed our bags full of eatables and other necessary items. It was
the first time we were planning a trip by road to Kerala tour packages.
We had our Google maps ready for navigation. We started by early morning at 4.
Bangalore was full of traffic even in the early hours, as we got stuck in
traffic at Yeshwanthpur, still we managed to escape in 20-25 minutes from
there.
After the traffic, we took the
straight Mangalore highway road. We stopped only to answer the nature's call,
then small tea and snack breaks. The road was pretty good and at times, we
switched driving and enjoyed a small nap too. Some area was foggy and hence,
driving was a little slowed down. Then after Hassan, the road was bumpy. Still,
we managed to cross through the same. The hilly terrain was quite tiring for us
to cross. After the hilly area, we got narrow roads but were manageable as the
road was good. By noon, we reached Bekal,
our first destination in Kerala tourism packages. That afternoon, after our lunch in a roadside
restaurant, we decided to visit the Bekal Fort. The Fort was well-maintained. We
spotted many tourists on holiday tour packages visiting the fort. Even though
the afternoon was hot and sunny, the cool breeze from the beach was helping.
We took a walk around the fort
and enjoyed the beach side. The fort was a key-shaped structure, around
300-year-old. This was particularly built for safety purpose to stop invasions
and encroachments. I kept reading the
article on the walls about the history of the Fort which was quite interesting.
We watched the waves thrashing the rocks near the fort and enjoyed the vibrant
sea. On the other side, there was a well-maintained garden with lots of flowers
and steps connecting the layers of the fort which was a popular spot for the tourists on Kerala packages.
After leaving the fort, we
searched for a perfect place to check in and drop our luggage and found a place
to stay near the beach. The price was quite reasonable and the place had a
rustic look. Still, it was within our budget! The place was run by a happy
couple who had two lovely kids. They served us tea and snacks and then showed
us to the rooms where we quickly changed and got fresh. After a simple
lip-smacking dinner, we decided to take a look around the city by night on our Kerala holiday packages. We asked our hosts about the place and they
were too good to offer us their bicycles to take a look around, even the guy
who ran the guest house accompanied us.
The night never faded the beauty
of the place; the city was still alive with shops and restaurants open. The
vibrant people shared a smile while we passed them. We enjoyed a ginger tea at
a tea stall which was on the beach road. The beach was still populated with
visitors and vendors selling snacks. The night was still young and beautiful. Even though we were tired after the long first
day of Kerala trip route map, we
still wanted to linger around the place. Since we had other plans for the next
day, we went back to our rooms and had a peaceful sleep.
The next morning, we decided to
take a trip to Ananthapura village in Kasargode district. It’s the place where
the Ananthapura lake temple is located. The temple is built in the middle of
the lake which is spread across acres. The lake has a cave on the right side
corner, which helped us to spot the temple easily. The temple is one of the
oldest ones and has many legendary stories behind its existence. I had heard
from the locals that there exist a crocodile in the pond but only the lucky
people get to see that. It is believed to be guarding the shrine and the lake.
The footbridge to the Sreekovil
was splendid. The walls had alluring wooden carvings which inscribed the ten
incarnations of Lord Vishnu. After receiving the blessings of Lord Vishnu, we
decided to take the road back to the city continuing with our Kerala tour. We had
an unusual Kerala lunch with Pathiri and Chicken and set out to the Kappil
beach. The solitary beach looked unexplored as it was not crowded. We parked
our car a little further and walked down to the beach. As we approached the
beach, the cool and calm soothing sea could be spotted. We enjoyed the walk to
the beach along the shady trees on the side which helped us from the scorching
heat. We climbed the Kodi cliff when
the heat was low and enjoyed the panoramic view of the sea from the top.
It was notably one of the cleanest and
unpolluted beaches you will find during your Kerala tours. There were
butterflies everywhere. Everywhere from
the top, we could see the river flowing and the coconut trees swaying in the
breeze. That’s exactly the picture
of Kerala that you see during your travel. After the relaxing beach time,
we went back to the city and took the route to the Bela Church, an old Roman
catholic church. As usual, the church had the calm and quiet atmosphere which
helps people on Kerala tour packages from Mumbai and other cities to relax. I had always loved churches and the
calmness inside the place. After the visit and a small prayer break, we went
back to our rooms and had a good sleep.
Kasargode is also famous for its
backwaters and hence, we decided to go to Neeleswaram, which was a village
famous for its cultural heritage. There are lots of temples and kavu here. The
place had an alluring landscape with lot many rivers, hills and a long stretch
of sea. After the glimpse of the place, we went to Kottapuram jetty which was
close to Neeleswaram and boarded a houseboat. The boat ride was pretty cool
perfect for personalized Kerala honeymoon packages. We enjoyed
the backwaters and fishing. The fishing experience was awesome as we managed to
catch two big fishes.
The tour guy who operated the boat was very
friendly and he showed us the place around. The villages around the backwaters
had a serene beauty. We spotted many islands full of greenery. The houseboat
ride was pretty enjoyable and since we did not have plans to stay overnight, we
got down at the boat jetty, took our car and went back to our stay. The next
day was a trekking day, so we took a trip to the Ranipuram hill station which
was a popular trekking trail for Keralatour packages from Delhi. From the town, it was roughly 85 kms. We didn’t
lose our way as some fellow native people guided us well since our Google map
was not working quite well as we thought. The forests were earlier known as Maadathumala.
It lies sharing the border with Karnataka in the Western Ghats.
As we could not go beyond Panathady in our car,
a village near Ranipuram, we took a jeep from the place to reach Ranipuram. To
reach the top of the hill, we need to walk at least 45 minutes. Hence, we
decided to pack more water. Luckily, the climate was favorable. As we started
to climb, we found the path uphill more tiring to cover. We took rest under the
trees and walked through the lush grasslands. As we were reaching the top, the
fog was covering the grasslands which were another beauty to be seen on your romantic
honeymoon packages in Kerala with luxurious facility. Once we reached the top, we spent some time taking
snaps and enjoying the panoramic scenery of the place.
Just as we reached Panathavady, one
of the fellow travelers mentioned to us about a place called Chamundikunnu
which was worth visiting. So we decided to go to Chamundikunnu since it was not
far from where we were. Chamundikunnu was a beautiful village with lot many streams,
farmlands rich in crops, mango trees and temples and a lot more beautiful
places. The village had a special beauty and overall a peaceful atmosphere. We spotted
kids playing under the tree, girls enjoying the swings, villagers engaged in
their daily works and some enjoying a hot tea and snack in the tea shop. It was
dark when we return to our stay back in the city.
Finally, our honeymoon packages with world class facilities in Kasarkode were over! It was time to pack our
bags back to our workplace. We did a small tour of the city and did some
shopping for friends and family. We bid goodbye to the sweet host who
accommodated us for few days and then we set out, back to the buzzing city with
traffic and pollution leaving behind the soothing sea and the greenery.
